Julian Johnson

Julian graduated in Law from the University of Western Australia in 1988. He was admitted to practice in February 1989 and made a partner at Ilbery Barblett and O’Dea in 1992. He remained a partner of such firm until December 2001, when he left to establish his own firm. During his period with Ilberys Julian handled a wide variety of litigation, including commercial litigation, product liability, de facto property disputes, work accident claims, occupiers liability matters and motor vehicle accident claims. During this period he developed a particular interest and expertise in medical (and other professional) negligence litigation.

Julian has appeared on behalf of Plaintiffs in more than 50 trials in Western Australian Courts, including the District and Court of Appeal. Julian is 48 years of age and is married with 3 children. In a previous incarnation he was a well known local rugby union player! He is now Perth’s best known medical negligence lawyer, on the health consumer’s side of things.
